Mergers and acquisitions: global prospects for growth
Grant Thornton hosted an event in London in March 2011 entitled: ‘Mergers and Acquisitions: global prospects for growth?’, where M&A professionals from our global member firms discussed the findings of our 2011 International Business Report.
This report offers rare insight into the M&A plans and expectations of over 11,000 privately held businesses (PHBs) from 39 economies across the world. The report’s findings suggest an increasing number of privately held businesses (PHBs) are planning to grow through acquisition, with 34% of respondents anticipating making an acquisition in the next three years, an increase of 8% compared to twelve months ago. It compares the survey results over three years on a global basis, as well as looking at results from the main economic regions.
